A Little About Me
My name is Phil Dave Gélinas, I'm a French-Canadian based in Montréal. I've been an athlete my entire life. I've competed across North America as a gymnast, and I'm planning to do much more than that in bodybuilding.
I was a gymnastics coach for over 5 years, leading competitive athletes to competitions across the Atlantic provinces. I've now been coaching in the bodybuilding and fitness space since January 2025.

WHY NOT YOU?
My first supplement
At the start of my senior year of high school, I was weighing around 150lbs. That's also when I discovered my first supplement, creatine. I bought my first tub at Walmart, and it tasted horrible. I ended the year around 165lbs.
COVID-19...
What a year this was. During this time, I was training to compete as a Senior gymnast (highest level). Unfortunately, I was never able to compete at this level due to lockdowns.
Where it all began
2021 was the year I first took the gym seriously. I had no idea what I was doing, but I still showed up. I just knew I wanted to improve myself.
When I committed
1 year later, I hired my first coach, I knew that if I wanted to get proper results, I needed to work with the best, even if it meant scraping by financially.
The hardest year of my life
I had now been working with my coach for a year, but I was dead broke, and my entire life was crumbling before me. I'd buy the cheapest and most disgusting supplements because I could barely afford my rent, and eventually had to drop my coach.
The change I needed
2024 was the year I decided to lock in. I moved from my hometown to Montréal, re-hired my coach and had the biggest transformation in my life.
The best year of my life
I launched my personal training in January, competed at my first bodybuilding show and leveled up in all aspects of my life.

Stay tuned.
But how does my journey affect my coaching?
I understand how difficult it is.
Most of my life was all about "getting by".
2019-2021, I was studying in university, but had to stop as I had no money left.
2021 and onwards, I'd be working 2 jobs, just to get by. I found out the hard way that employers rarely give opportunities to people without a degree/diploma.
To this day, I still work 70+ hour weeks. But I don't want my clients to feel the need to work so much to afford proper coaching and Canadian supplements.
