How do I find and respond to bids on Bonfire?
Short answer
Bonfire is an e-procurement platform, now part of Euna Procurement, where each public organization runs its own portal listing its open opportunities. You create a free vendor account through an organization's portal, download the documents from the opportunity page, upload your files and click Submit and Finalize before the closing time, and Euna says there is no cost to register or to submit. Addenda are posted under Supporting Documentation and buyer updates under Public Notices, so check both before you finalize.

What is Bonfire for suppliers?
Bonfire is a procurement platform that public buyers use to post solicitations and receive electronic submissions. Its owner, Euna Solutions, says Bonfire, IonWave, EqualLevel and DemandStar have come together as Euna Procurement, and its supplier site states that "Bonfire is now Euna Supplier Network." You will see both names on portal pages and in emails.
The most important thing to understand is that Bonfire is not one central bid board. Euna's help centre explains that each organization using Euna Procurement has its own portal, a website where that organization's bid opportunities are found. Canadian portals often sit at an address like organization.bonfirehub.ca. Examples include OECM (oecm.bonfirehub.ca), the First Nations Health Authority (fnha.bonfirehub.ca) and Canoe Procurement Group, which announced in June 2026 that it is moving its procurement portal to Bonfire.
How do I create a supplier account on Bonfire?
Registration is free. Euna's help centre says a purchase is not required to create a vendor account, and that once you are registered you can submit bids across all procurement portals on Euna Procurement. The steps below follow Euna's vendor registration article.
- Go to the procurement portal of the organization you want to work with and click Register at the top right. If you have no particular portal in mind, Euna says you can register through its Global Demo Portal or directly on the Euna Supplier Network.
- Enter your first and last name and your business email address, then open the verification email and confirm it.
- Set a password, then join your company's existing vendor organization or create a new one. Joining sends a request that your organization's admin must approve.
- Accept the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, then complete every field marked with a red asterisk, plus any vendor types or custom fields the buying organization has set up.
- Upload any documentation the buyer asks for at registration.
- Add commodity codes. Euna says they are usually optional, but they are how you get matched to future bids: buyers tag each posting with codes, and the code set depends on the organization you register with.
Confirm your account email when prompted. Euna says confirmation is required to bid on invite-only projects and highly recommended for everyone else.
Even with one account, some buyers want you on their list specifically. OECM tells suppliers already on the Euna Supplier Network that they are "still required to register with OECM's unique portal link," and Canoe says registration is required to access its opportunities and receive notifications.
How do I find open opportunities on an agency portal?
On each portal, public projects appear under Open Public Opportunities, and projects you were invited to appear under My Opportunities. The First Nations Health Authority's portal, for example, shows a summary list of all its public opportunities, but you need to log in or register to see full details and to submit. Euna requires a free account before you can download supporting documents, so the buyer has a record of who downloaded them.
If you do not know an organization's portal address, Euna suggests checking the invitation email, the RFx document itself, or the organization's own website. The free Euna Supplier Network plan also includes an Agency Explorer for browsing agencies and their open opportunities, and free bid matching from the agencies you are registered with.
Once you open a project, read these parts of the page before you start:
- Project Details and Important Events: the open date, the Questions Due Date if the buyer accepts questions in the portal, and the Closing Date.
- Supporting Documentation: specifications, appendices and addenda. Download All Files saves everything at once.
- Requested Information: the documents you must upload, the accepted file types, the number of files allowed and any BidTable or Questionnaire templates.
- Messages: Public Notices from the buyer, plus Vendor Discussions or Public Q&A if the buyer has turned them on.
How do I submit a response through Bonfire?
Some opportunities ask for an Intent to Bid first. If you see an Intent to Bid tab in the Submission section, answer it. Answering Yes unlocks the Prepare Your Submission button, and Euna says you can change your answer until the Intent to Bid due date.
- Log in, open the opportunity and scroll to the Submissions section at the bottom of the page.
- Click Prepare Your Submission. The page shows the current time, the closing time and the days remaining.
- Upload each file into its matching Requested Information slot. For BidTables and Questionnaires, use the most up-to-date template the buyer has provided, because Euna warns that an incorrect template causes errors and prevents you from completing the submission.
- Fill in any data fields, then check that every item shows a green validation circle. A red circle means something still needs fixing.
- Tick the box confirming you understand you cannot change the submission once the project closes, then click Submit & Finalize My Submission.
- Keep the Submission Receipt. Euna also emails it with the subject line "[Project Name] Submission Receipt".
Uploading files is not the same as submitting. Unfinished submissions sit under Work-In-Progress, and once a project closes they show under Missed. Euna says you can no longer submit after a project closes, and it is up to the purchasing organization whether a late proposal is considered.
You can revise while the project is open: un-submit, change only what you need, then click Submit & Finalize again. Euna notes that un-submitted proposals are not reviewed by the buyer, so only un-submit when you have time to finish.
How do addenda and notifications work on Bonfire?
When a buyer issues an addendum, Euna says it appears under Supporting Documentation on the Project Details page. Buyers also use the Public Notices tab, in the Messages section, as a bulletin board for changes and new information. Read both before you finalize.
The Euna Supplier Network says suppliers are notified when agencies update postings with modified due dates and additional documentation. In your account settings, the Messages setting controls emails about Public Notices, Public Q&A and Vendor Discussions, and you can receive them in real time or as a daily digest. Opportunity Recommendations, the daily emails based on your commodity codes, are unsubscribed by default, so turn them on if you want them.
If a closing date is extended after you submit, Euna says you do not have to re-submit, but it recommends finding out why and checking for addenda that affect your proposal.
Euna recommends adding these sender addresses to your address book and asking your IT team to whitelist them:
- no-reply@gobonfire.com
- pm_bounces@pmbounces.gobonfire.com
- support@gobonfire.com
- support.bonfire@eunasolutions.com
Do suppliers pay to use Bonfire?
Not to bid. Euna's help centre says there is no cost to create a vendor account and no cost to submit proposals, and its pricing page states: "There is never a fee to place a bid on our platform." Euna's supplier management page lists registering with your agency, email notifications, technical support, document downloads and electronic submission as free for suppliers.
The paid part is optional. Euna Supplier Network Pro is an upgrade that adds broader bid recommendations, including from agencies you have not registered with, and more search tools. You do not need it to respond to an opportunity on a portal you already know about. Individual buyers say the same about their own portals: Canoe states there is no fee to create or maintain an account or to participate in its solicitations.
Where do suppliers miss opportunities on Bonfire?
In my experience, the misses on Bonfire tend to be setup problems rather than a lack of effort:
- Assuming one registration covers every buyer. Free bid matching only covers agencies you are registered with, and with dozens of separate agency portals, it is easy to miss one.
- Commodity codes that do not match how buyers tag their work. Matching depends on the codes the buyer chooses, so a project posted under a code you did not select will not reach you.
- Leaving Opportunity Recommendations switched off, which is the default.
- Notification emails landing in spam. Euna warns that if you mark one of its emails as spam, you may stop receiving its emails entirely.
- Uploading every file but never clicking Submit & Finalize, which leaves the bid in Work-In-Progress.
- Filling in an old BidTable or pricing template after an addendum replaced it.
- Reading the documents but not the Public Notices tab, where buyers post changes.
Common follow-up questions
Is Bonfire the same as Euna Procurement?
Yes. Euna Solutions says Bonfire, IonWave, EqualLevel and DemandStar have come together as Euna Procurement, and its supplier site says Bonfire is now the Euna Supplier Network. Portal addresses and emails may still use the Bonfire name.
Do I need a separate account for each agency's Bonfire portal?
No. Euna says one account works across portals once you have registered on any of them. Some buyers, such as OECM, still ask you to register through their own portal link, and free bid matching only covers agencies you are registered with.
Can I see Bonfire opportunities without an account?
Many portals show a public list of open opportunities to anyone. Euna requires a free account to download supporting documents, and you must be logged in to submit.
Can I change my Bonfire submission after I submit it?
Yes, while the project is still open. Un-submit, change what you need and click Submit & Finalize again, because Euna says un-submitted proposals are not reviewed by the buyer.
What happens if I miss the closing time on Bonfire?
Euna says you can no longer submit once a project closes. Whether a late proposal is considered is up to the purchasing organization, so contact the buyer directly.
